I’ve been looking for information about George Cromarty and located an article on Teeside Archives.
It covers the storm on the evening of Sunday 15th January 1922 and subsequent rescue. There is a photograph of a prevention ceremony in London following the rescue. This photograph shows George Cromarty and others.
I know the article makes reference to ‘material kindly sent over by John Bevan of the Holy Island Community Archive group’ but I thought it would be nice if the photograph was published on this site.
