Lease of the Ancient Abbey or Cathedral of Holy Island. Also the adjoining close containing 1 acre, which was part of the land called the Minster Close, together with rights of way on foot and horse. To hold the same from St. Cuthbert’s day (20th March), year on year at the annual rent of £5, the term not extending beyond the interest of J.S.D.S. in the premises as lessee of the Crown. Trustees: Prideaux Selby of Swansfield (great-nephew of Henry Collingwood Selby) and William Lowry of Barmoor.
